1978-1983

The Early Days

1978

Silla Careba Pty Ltd established in Karratha, Western Australia.

1980

First Resources major contract awarded by Dampier Salt Ltd.

1983

Company name changed to Decmil Engineering and Construction.

1984-2003

Building on the Foundation

1988

First Energy major contract awarded for $20m with Woodside.

2003

Constructed our first accommodation camp for Apache Energy.

2003

Decmil broadens client base with the award of numerous government infrastructure projects.

2004-2008

From Strength to Strength

2004

Awarded first major Perth Construction contract for Gosnells Civic Centre.

2005

Awarded contracts by Burrup Fertilisers, Chevron and Rio Tinto.

2005

Decmil was listed on the ASX.

2007

Awarded Resources construction contracts by Hamersley Iron and Fortescue Metals Group.

2008

Awarded Energy major contract by Woodside Energy for Pluto LNG.

2009-2013

Decmil constructs and acquires Homeground Villages in Queensland.

2013

Decmil acquires EDE and VDM Construction (East) in Brisbane.

2013

Decmil awarded first international Government Construction contract for Manus Island, Papua New Guinea.

2014-2019

Growth and Diversification

2016

Decmil acquires Cut & Fill in Victoria (rebranded to Decmil in 2017).

2016

First Renewable Energy major contract awarded for Gullen Range Solar Farm.

2016

Awarded Energy major contract by QGC for $171m.

2019

Awarded Infrastructure joint venture major contract of $375m for Mordialloc Freeway by Major Roads Projects Victoria.

2019

Awarded first Main Roads WA major contract for Reid Highway upgrade.

2020 - 2023

Consolidation and Refocus

2020

Continued focus and growth across Resources, Infrastructure and Energy sectors.

2020

Launch of Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.

2020

Completion of Warradarge Wind Farm and Yandin Wind Farm.

2022

Major contracts awarded including Perdaman Project Bulk Earthworks, Covalent Lithium NPI Buildings and Haul Road, Barwon Heads Road Upgrade and Ryan Corner Wind Farm.

2023

Launch of Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), following on from achieving Reflect RAP actions.

2024

Macmahon Acquires Decmil Group

2024

Macmahon Holdings acquires 100% of Decmil, with Decmil operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Macmahon.

2024

Decmil awarded major contract for construction of Temporary Accommodation for Borumba Pumped Hydro Project in QLD.

Decmil is a Macmahon Company, delivering design, engineering and construction solutions for the infrastructure, resources, and renewable energy sectors across Australia.
