Decmil was appointed to design and construct Stage 2 EPCM facilities (1200 square metre workshop) at Newman Hub which include temporary offices and ablutions for the Car Dumper, Train Load-out, and Stockyard and Security Post. These facilities support BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s expansion activities.

In addition to the above works, in December 2007, Decmil was awarded Separable Portion 9, as a variation to the original contract, to decommission, remove, relocate and re-install 11 temporary buildings from Ore Body 18 EPCM facility and Ore Body 25 Kurra Village to the Jimblebar mine site which is owned by BHP Billiton.

The works also include the design, supply, installation, termination, testing and commissioning of all building services including electrical, communications, hydraulics, sewage and air conditioning. Decmil will also undertake all necessary auxiliary and temporary works including accessories and incorporation of all miscellaneous materials, minor parts and other items necessary to complete and commission the works ready for occupancy.
