Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers Pty Ltd are developing Project CERES, which will be the world’s largest gas stream ammonia-urea plant with a production capacity of 2.14 MMTPA. The project is located on the Burrup Peninsula approximately 10km from Dampier and 20km north-west of Karratha in Pilbara Western Australia.
Decmil’s scope of works under this subcontract encompasses bulk earthworks on site including drilling and blasting, construction of a causeway, the supply and installation of culverts, establishment of construction/potable water lines, and general site clearing activities.
This includes:
- 550,000 BCM of Excavation (approx. 50% drill and blast)
- 570,000 CCM of General Fill
- 100,000 CCM of Structural Fill
- 100,000 CCM of Pavements
- Culvert Structure across existing water and gas lines
Decmil’s scope of works also includes stockpile management, load and haul of materials, causeway road embankments and paving, stormwater and sediment management, construction of in-situ concrete works, permanent and temporary fencing, access works earthworks, causeway earthworks, supply and installation of geotextile fabrics, temporary mobile site facilities, installation of an earthwork pad, drill and blast of rock, mechanical rock breaking, rock excavation and placement and compaction of materials.
