The civil works contract involved a range of activities to assist in the daily operations of the site during the construction phase in both the Greenfields and Brownfields areas. Using local resources and labour, the works included grading, watering and rolling of existing car park and associated access road. Further works were undertaken on receipt of instructions from Foster Wheeler Worley Parsons JV such as trench and drain clearing, cyclone clean-up, repairs and tie down, road sweeping, line marking and signage.

The contract included a wide range of maintenance services such as:

  • Building structure – including fabric and finishes, plumbing, electrical connections, air conditioners, fridges and fittings for all construction crib huts, office blocks, first aid post, warehouse, induction centre, security office and site ablutions
  • Construction fences, gates, boom gates and turnstiles
  • Portable 240V electrical equipment, power tools, appliances and extension leads
  • Fire alarm system plus tagging and inspection of fire extinguishers
  • Pest and weed control
