Waddi Wind Farm will help reduce Western Australia’s carbon footprint by generating enough clean energy to power more than 68,000 homes per year. That’s 286,000 tonnes in carbon emissions avoided annually.

With more clean, renewable energy powering the state, the Project will help the West Australian Government’s target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 80% below 2020 levels by 2030.

The project is located approximately 15 km north-west of the township of Dandaragan in Western Australia. Once constructed Waddi Wind Farm will have up to 18 x Vestas V162-6.0 EnVentus Turbines producing up to 108 megawatts of power.

Decmil and RJE were awarded a contract by Tilt Renewables to complete early works for Waddi Wind Farm. The early works will support the development phase of the project which is targeted to commence construction in late 2023.

The early works scope includes:

  • HSEQ project plans
  • Site investigations
  • Civil design – 30% and 50% design stages
  • 132kV transmission line design & WPC interfacing
  • Site survey
