Decmil was awarded a design and construct contract for works at the Australian Defence Department’s Training Area at Bindoon, North East of Perth. The project included construction of a new Transit Dog Compound, a new ‘South East Asian’ Training Scenario Village, maintenance to an existing Crane and Tower and maintenance to Roberts Road.

The scope of works included construction of a Transit Dog Compound comprising a dog enclosure and separate administration building. A South East Asian Village was constructed comprising six South East Asian huts.

Crane and tower maintenance was undertaken to confirm a lifting capacity of 2 tonnes. These maintenance works included structural remediation works including abrasive blast cleaning, strengthening/stiffening of parts of the structure, painting of the structure, inspection and testing of completed works.

Roberts Road maintenance including reparation and rehabilitation of an existing unsealed road.
