Works on the Burrup Fertilisers’ site involved detailed earthworks and concrete works for ring beams to tanks, pipe rack supports, flare tower foundations and miscellaneous concrete foundations.

Interface between the on-site Decmil management team and the mechanical contractor, CB&I, was successful due to careful planning and regular communication. This resulted in all works being completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

Other project outcomes included:

  • Zero Lost Time Injuries for 10,000 man hours
  • 1200 cubic metres of concrete poured
  • 20 direct wage workers were employed (not subcontractors)
  • Decmil-owned direct plant was used
