The project involved the design, supply, transport, install, commission, hire and demobilisation of all accommodation and facility buildings, infrastructure and services for the project, maintenance and upkeep of buildings and utilities.
Decmil successfully managed staged hand overs for 1,032 rooms across three construction camps to meet occupancy requirements.
These camps are listed below, currently operational and in the hire period of the contract:
- Camp 6 – 398 rooms and central facilities
- Camp 5 – 398 rooms and central facilities
- Camp 4 – 332 rooms and central facilities
The construction program for all three camps were delivered on time and ahead of schedule.
INNOVATIONS
- Off site fabrication of precast concrete footpaths resulted in significant sustainability, cost and program benefits.
- Prefabrication of elevated walkway dates provided significant program benefits during the construction phase.
- Several concurrent work-fronts ensured accelerated project delivery and productivity benefits.
