Decmil was awarded the Design and Construct contract for the Drysdale Bypass between Grubb Road and Whitcombes Road by MRPV.
The project scope included the construction of a six-kilometre bypass road that will help improve safety and ease the congestion at the heart of Drysdale by providing an alternative and more efficient route for drivers and trucks on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Scope of works for this project included an arch bridge structure over the Bellarine Rail line, a pedestrian underpass, 6km’s of bypass road and two signalised intersections. Works also included relocation and protection of utility services, roundabouts at the Whitcombes Road, Grubb Road, Murradoc Road and Princess Street intersections and a new shared walking and cycling path.
