The project involved replacement of essential rail beams for Hamersley Iron’s operations in Dampier. The contract was split into two stages. The first stage involved a five day shutdown where Decmil personnel worked 24 hour shifts to remove 440m of aged rail line and replace it with new beams and concrete supports.
