Decmil was awarded a construction contract for the Elizabeth Quay Inlet Excavation and Revetments Project. The project forms part of the Elizabeth Quay Project being constructed in the City of Perth.
The scope of works undertaken by Decmil includes excavation of the inlet (approx. 140,000m3), construction of scour protection, island revetments, minor drainage and a small boat ramp.
The scope of work also includes removal of existing jetty sheet piles and tubular piles as well as excavation and removal of the old river wall/jetty (heritage), circulation of water to manage water quality, maintenance and removal of the silt curtains. There was an emphasis on reuse and recycling of all materials where possible throughout the project.
