The aim of the Enerflex Compressor Gap Analysis Project was to close out the gaps between the BG Standards and the eight (8) Enerflex and Tormont Compressors installed at the F02 Kenya Field Compressor Station which were purchased prior to BG acquiring QGC.

The contract included:

  • The brownfield modifications as part of the project were broken into 3 sections – Tormont Skids, Enerflex Skids, and off-skid components
  • Works included fabrication and installation of PSV vent stacks, foundations and supports, structural pipe supports, small bore connections, bracing, minor civil earthworks, concrete foundations and supply & install of mechanical instrumentation

As part of the project, Decmil was also contracted for the following additional scopes:

  • Kenya Water Treatment Plant Tie-In – Installation of a fuel gas line, including two 100% capacity control valves, a pressure transmitter and associated controller with duty valve selector
  • FO2 and P02 Teg Units – General commissioning and rectification works on F02 and P02 Teg Units, directed by QGC Operations

The project team managed a site fabrication workshop to be able to expedite rectification of spooling due to drawing issues in order to satisfy site schedule requirements.
