Decmil was responsible for the restoration and redevelopment of the old convent at St Joseph’s School into an arts and cultural centre for the Gayndah community.
Originally built in 1919, this two-storey facility was refurbished to include visual and performing arts classrooms, commercial kitchen and modern public art gallery, all featuring high-quality finishes. Works also included an additional 18 bay car park.
Funded by the Local Schools Working Together Program through a partnership between St Joseph’s School, Gayndah State School and the North Burnett Regional Council, the facility provides a valuable shared educational resource for the North Burnett community.
