Decmil and joint venture partner Balance Utility Solutions have been awarded an EPC contract for a 10 MW (AC) project consisting of photovoltaic solar panels and associated infrastructure installed adjacent to a wind farm site and using existing grid connection infrastructure.
The scope of works included:
- PV modules;
- Mounting structures;
- DC system;
- Inverters;
- Transformers;
- Switchgear;
- Meteorological stations;
- Fencing and security;
- Roadworks;
- Drainage;
- Storage facility;
- 33kV AC reticulation to the wind farm connection point; and
- SCADA and termination, protection and metering at the connection point.
The Gullen Solar project has secured funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
