Decmil was awarded a contract to design and construct one two new 6m diameter, 200kL fixed roof tank for the storage of Jet fuel.
The scope of works included:
- Tank design to API 650
- Civil works
- Offsite fabrication and shipping of all materials to Honiara from Decmil workshop Brisbane
- Site erection of the tank
- Tank painting
- Gauging and vents
- Hydrotest and calibration
Decmil were onsite when a cyclone went through Honiara and the site crew were engaged for a week to assist with the immediate disaster management effort in the area and our site shipping containers were donated to the local community for use as temporary housing.
