Decmil was awarded a contract for the design and construction of the accommodation village as part of Fortescue’s Christmas Creek Expansion.
The scope of works included:
- Communal dining facilities and tavern which has been located adjacent to the sports oval, doubling as a sports viewing location
- 100 seat dedicated cinema
- External BBQ adjacent to some of the sporting facilities
- Sports facilities including a three lane lap pool, tennis/basketball court, gym, indoor cricket, golf driving range, and a sports oval
Improving on traditional central facility design was key to creating this resort style village. Decmil managed the overseas manufacture of two storey accommodation units for this project.
