The Mount Hopeful Wind Farm is a large-scale renewable energy project proposed in Central Queensland, within the Rockhampton and Banana Shire areas.
The project is located near the towns of Mount Morgan and Bajool, and lies approximately 50km south of Rockhampton, 60km north of Biloela, and 70km west of Gladstone.
The Mount Hopeful Wind Farm Project is approved for up to 63 wind turbines with the potential for battery storage. The final project capacity is expected to be around 400 MW (around 60 wind turbines). The project once constructed will power around 242,000 homes in the area.
Decmil was awarded an Early Works Agreement to undertake preliminary activities related to the Civil Balance of Plant (CBoP) works.
Situated in Central Queensland, the Mount Hopeful Wind Farm will involve the installation of up to 97 wind turbines with battery storage facilities.
The anticipated final project capacity is approximately 350 MW, involving around 60 wind turbines.
The early works included on-site survey works and design including road, creek crossing and accommodation camp designs.
