Located in remote Western Australia, the Mulla Mulla Village Expansion project was a redevelopment of the existing
accommodation camp which supports BHP Mining Area C and the South Flank Project operations. The scope included increasing
the capacity to circa 3,000 rooms from the existing 500 accommodation rooms.
The works for this project required careful planning and sequencing in work packages to reduce the impact on the existing
village infrastructure.
Decmil’s early involvement throughout the design phase of this project assisted in optimising the overarching design, general
arrangement and equipment selection. Decmil worked closely with BHP to unlock further efficiencies in the project delivery phase
and minimise whole of life costs.
