Decmil was awarded the Construct contract for the Princes Highway Duplication – Section 3 for VicRoads.
This project is part of the larger scale project which will duplicate over 35 kilometres of highway and include new intersections and safety improvements. Adding an extra lane in each direction will reduce accidents and make travel times more consistent.
The scope of works included construction of approximately 8.9km of road duplication providing a 4 lane 2-way divided M Class road and the upgrade of six intersections. Works also included installation of flexible safety barriers on the edge of the road and median, service relocations, major drainage structures, asphalt works, earthworks, pavements, gabion rock retaining wall structures, sealing and landscape works.
