The Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) will become the world’s first project to turn gas from coal seams into liquefied natural gas. The first phase will develop 2,000 of the planned 7,500 wells within the Surat Basin.
As part of Phase 1, Decmil completed civil works associated with the installation of 20km of bi-lateral/bi-directional pipeline between Kenya Central Processing Plant (P02) and Berwyndale South Central Processing Plant (P01), and a 2.9km DN400 unidirectional pipeline between Gas Collection Header (GCH) to S04 Sales Station (S04).
Works included civil works within the four live operational processing plants, with full compliance to QGC’s permitting requirements. Decmil developed an accelerated programme to ensure the pipelines were ready for gas production in accordance with QGC’s schedule. The accelerated programme established a value engineered solution that achieved a safer and more efficient method of delivery.
