This project involved the installation of additional surface water management (SWM) infrastructure at FMG’s Cloudbreak mine site to support current and future infrastructure and ongoing mining activities.
Works involved the installation of multiple groups of corrugated steel pipes (culverts) to both LV and HV roads, construction of drainage under existing conveyors and the construction of an engineered levee.
Scope of works included clearing and grubbing, bulk and detailed earthorks, foundation preparation, excavation, earth filling and installation of culverts.
The works were done to control water flow to avoid adverse impacts on existing infrastructure and ongoing operations.
