Decmil was contracted to provide above ground facilities, mechanical and civil works to the metering stations including tie-ins to underground transmission lines.
This included preliminary bulk civil works, grouting of compressors, installation of access roads, perimeter fencing, filter vessels, storage tanks, pipe supports and structural steel, pipe spooling and skid mounted piping assemblies.
Works involved NDT, painting, hydrostatic testing, FFW, dewatering and pneumatic leak testing; all of which were conducted under Decmil’s quality management framework. As a result of robust systems, zero non-conformances were recorded on the project.
Comprehensive project plans were developed to incorporate Origin’s requirements for safety, quality and environment. Vehicle safety was considered the single greatest safety risk on the project. In a deliberate focus on driving behaviours, including a risk assessment of designated drivers to combat issues of fatigue, Decmil delivered an outstanding safety performance.
The project was delivered on time and on budget.
