Decmil was awarded the construction of the Wendouree Rail Station for the Department of Transport in Victoria in 2009.

The scope of works included construction of the new station building and platform, earthworks, drainage, pavements for access roads and a large car park area with urban landscaping.
Works included installation of a major sewer, relocation of existing assets in relation to communications, power and water and installation of new street lighting and CCTV camera surveillance.

The building itself features a central control room and restroom facilities with a striking red and grey facade.

The completed station provides significant public transport benefits for the 90,000 residents of Ballarat and surrounding Wendouree region.

Construction of the new Wendouree Railway Station for the Department of Transport was built in accordance with Green Star and Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) Scheme energy requirements.
