West Angelas is a brownfields mining operation located in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The Western Hill (WH) and Deposit H (DH) expansion project involves the development of new mining areas to support continued iron ore production.

Decmil has been engaged to deliver bulk earthworks (3M CCM) for the development of Western Hill and Deposit H, located approximately 8km north-west and 19km north-east of existing hub facilities respectively.

The works encompass mine prestrip activities, construction of 10km of HME haul roads and 13km of light vehicle access roads, major creek and pipeline crossings, surface water management infrastructure, NPI pad construction, and communications network expansion to support the new mining areas.
